I spent the summer in Cornwall, living in Airbnbs, exploring the coastline and figuring out whether this could be a good spot to settle in the future. Even though the time in Cornwall felt like a holiday, I still needed to make sure I could actually work and earn money. The problem: Airbnbs don’t usually have the most reliable wifi, especially in a remote place by the sea.
Most cafés in Cornwall are rather small, and unless they have a clear laptop policy, I don’t like setting myself up to work in them. But after a month of exploring, I can happily say there are some really good places to work from around Penryn, Redruth and Camborne. To save you some time and stress, here is a full guide with the best laptop-friendly cafés for a productive and enjoyable time in Cornwall. I have included parking info, diet info (I’m veggie), and how dog-friendly each one is. Every spot listed below has great wifi.

FibreHub Café & Coworking, Redruth
This is my top pick for when I actually need to get things done. FibreHub has a real work atmosphere, good internet, and spacious tables you can properly spread out on. They do coffee, cold drinks, lunch and sweet treats. You can take the occasional call without the feeling of disturbing anyone. Dogs are welcome at the Hub Café (not the coworking), and there is plenty of free parking right outside.

Do you need a more professional setup? FibreHub coworking is right next door. You can get a day pass (£20.00, August 2026), or even a monthly pass, and get a proper desk and chair, an external screen, charging points and access to meeting rooms. This is where I would recommend to go for a heavy call day and focussed work atmosphere.
Sunshine Café and Yoga, Penryn
This is for my yogi friends, and those who enjoy a sunny and friendly atmosphere. Sunshine is a lovely café in Penryn. They run daily yoga classes, serve a full vegetarian menu, and the coffee is really good. Sunshine has laptop and no laptop zones, and a clear laptop policy (love that). You are invited to stay an hour when buying a drink, or 2.5 hours when ordering food. It’s a great spot to work for a few hours, with a yoga break in the middle or to start off your work day.

The WorkShop Café, Penryn
The WorkShop in Penryn is a very laptop-friendly, coworking focussed café. They both have laptop and no laptop zones. The coffee is one of the best in whole Cornwall, they also offer sweet treats and a lunch menu. Dogs are welcome here too. I really like the atmosphere at the WorkShop, as it invites you to stay for a few hours.

Grow Box Café, Redruth
The Grow Box Café in Redruth is the most colourful spot on my list. It’s a cute, cheerful café in Redruth. All wood, bright colours and a really nice menu of vegetarian and vegan food. My favourite is the home made quiches and fresh salads. The atmosphere is very down to earth and chill. There are no charging points but it felt like you could come and work for 1-2 hours.

Make it a workation: where to stay and getting around
I can recommend basing yourself around Falmouth, to access the southern area, or I also really liked Gwithian, to be north. If you were staying in Gwithian, you could get to FibreHub within 10 minutes, and 25 to get to Penryn. We loved mixing and matching the spots during the week.

Things to do in Cornwall
Honestly, the best part about working in Cornwall is that you are able to spend your mornings or afternoons by the ocean, or visit one of the beautiful forests. I especially loved Tehidy Woods, Hayle/Gwithian Beach, a stroll around Falmouth and watching a theatre play at the Minnack. I usually combine the activities with a visit to a good coffee shop.
