I visited Delhi in February 2025 for a few days. While I didn’t love staying in the city due to its overwhelming size, poor air quality, and the risks of scams, I needed to spend some time there before continuing my journey south to Mumbai. During my stay, I looked for a coworking space or a café with reliable internet to get some work done.
In total, I found two good places to work from in Delhi: a coworking space and a cafe with fast internet, power sockets, and great food. If you’re searching for a coworking space in Delhi or just a comfortable place to work, I hope this blog post helps you out.
Is Delhi a good spot for digital nomads?
If you’re wondering whether Delhi is a good spot for digital nomads, my short answer is: NO. While some blogs describe Delhi as a great spot for remote workers, my experience was very different. Delhi is a very overwhelming city. With over 33 million people, the city is chaotic and comes with challenges like persistent scams, heavy traffic, and severe pollution. I’ve travelled a lot and thought these might be all be exaggerations but I unfortunately have to agree. I’ve had a few unpleasant experiences in Delhi and would never visit again. If you’re interested in experiencing this city, I would recommend to find a hotel outside the city centre, take a taxi to visit for a day, and then continue your journey to somewhere else. Delhi is not a good spot for digital nomads.

Best way to get around in Delhi
When getting around in Delhi, my Indian friends advised me against taking public taxis or buses due to safety concerns. There were a few horror stories in the past and I wasn’t keen on that becoming my reality. I’m usually a confident traveller, but Delhi felt different.
The easiest, safest and best way to get around Delhi is by using Uber or Ola. Both apps worked well for me, and I used a mix of tuk-tuks and taxis. If you’re struggling to get a ride confirmed, try to pay in cash instead of card. I felt like most drivers prefer this payment method over card payments. Also, make sure to have small change on you, as a lot of drivers pretend not to have any, and you might end up overpaying. All in all, Uber and Ola were the best ways to get around the city.
Chelvie’s coffee – a work friendly café in Delhi
On the first day we visited Chelvie’s coffee, located near Connaught Place. Connaught place is one of Delhi’s busiest commercial hubs, filled with shops, restaurants, and street vendors. It’s a good place to explore, but you should also be aware of pickpockets.
Are you a digital nomad and like working abroad? Check out my coliving experiences around the globe!
Chelvie’s isn’t a huge café, but it’s spread over two levels with plenty of seating options. Many tables have power sockets, and my favourite spot was the high tables with a nice view of the whole downstairs area. The café is air-conditioned, providing a comfortable working atmosphere. The service was super friendly, and the portions big. I ordered an avocado toast and got five! slices loaded with mashed avocado. Overall the atmosphere was really nice! The internet was also very fast and easily accessible.
Why work from Chelvie’s?
- Fast and reliable WiFi
- Power sockets available
- Good food and coffee
- Comfortable seating
When you visit Chelvie’s I recommend to order regularly, to make your visit worth it (for them), so that we, remote workers and digital nomads, will still be welcomed in the future.

innov8 coworking space
innov8 coworking space is located at Connaught place as well. This spot is great if you need a more professional setup and your work involves calls as well. The day pass costs around 5 Euros and allows you to use the coworking space between 9 am an 7 pm. innov8 also has other workspaces in Delhi and around India.
Here is a 3 month itinerary for Cambodia, Vietnam & Laos!
Innov8 has shared desks, two phone booths, and additional office areas rented to companies on a long-term basis. If you plan to work here, I recommend arriving early. We got there around 11 AM and found only two available desks. The price of the day pass also includes free drinking water as well as free coffees. I can really recommend to visit this coworking space in Delhi, as it allows you to be productive and features good internet. Another plus is that you can order food easily using delivery apps like Zomato if you prefer to eat at your desk rather than going out for lunch.
What makes Innov8 a good choice?
- Reliable high-speed internet
- Dedicated workspaces
- Free drinking water and coffee
- Good for calls and focused work

Final thoughts on working in Delhi
(Luckily) I didn’t have more time to try out any other coworking spaces in the city. Overall I was quite relieved to find at least a couple of reliable spots to work from in Delhi – my hotel was definitely not suitable. If you need a place to work in Delhi, Chelvie’s Café and Innov8 are both solid choices. Hopefully, this guide helps you find a comfortable space to get things done while you’re there. Take care and stay aware!
