Historic towns, world-class food, dramatic coastlines and slow southern living — Italy is full of places that invite you to stay longer, explore deeper and enjoy life at a slower pace.
Italy is one of those countries that feels different every time you visit. From mountains, lakes and skiing in the north to the warmer coastlines, historic towns and slower rhythm of the south, every region has its own character, food culture and landscapes.
So far, I’ve explored parts of southern Italy around Naples and Matera – a beautiful region full of history, local life and hidden corners. If you’re working remotely, Matera can also be a surprisingly inspiring place to stay for a while.
